Air Doc App Reviews
Ive downloaded it and it seems to work fine, it transfers things back and forthe from the computer to the phone without a problem. I can see all the pictures, documents, and songs on my phone. I can access the pictures ok, but I cant access the music. When I click on a song it goes to a sort of quick time player, but no sound comes out no matter how high the volume is. I also cant download them into my phone so that I can play it in music or add it to my playlists. Music is the biggest thing I need to transfer, so until I can figure this out it doesnt really work for me. Great for pictures and documents though.
Exactly what i need! I am constantly emailing myself docs, with this app I swiftly move between my ipad and iphone and dump information exactly where I need it. AWESOME! Thank you;)
not good
The app is free on mac, but costs $3,99 on iPhone. Dont want to pay for this!
I like this app howver everything was working well before the update now i cant get it to work anymore i only updated it since i never updated this app befoe should have left it alone. I am running this on my Mac mini and i used it to move files on my iphone 5 and iPad this updated killed the app on my computer. hope this helps (do not update)
the app needs improvement, when all is connected as per the instructions the devices are slow to find each other, thats if they can find each. Many times a error comes back that connection is lost, how could that be when they are side by side. The instructions could be better. The tructions are done by someone that no doubt knows the app,but write the instructions from the point of view of someone that has never seen the app before.Make it easy to read.
Works like a charm ! No need to go through iTunes. Really drag and drop operation while your Mac and your iOS device are on the same network. The only minus so far: Air Doc Viewer, the app that is supposed to be installed on your iPhone for example, does not let you choose which app to use to play movies. It is fine for .mov files, but .avi files get sent to the same default iPhone quick time player, which does not play them. I would prefere to have the ability to send those .avi files to the free Flex player or some other AVI player installed on my iPhone. Hope to see the fix for that in the nearest update. Other then that - very nice app.
Lucky its free. You open it, and its called Air Doc Sender, and gives the info "no Air Doc Viewer found." Stinks. Support is all in German. Who vets this stuff??????? Okay, I contacted the German site. I studied German in College so even I could understand "Kontakt" I emailed them mostly in English with a little bad German thrown in. They got back to me in English, and explained that you need to also install the viewer on devices, and that the menu help says Air Doc support, and when you click on THAT you get a manual. Good to know. Ill change my rating if it works. Its a great idea.
This is not a "turbocharged second display for your Mac." It is a very handy application for sending files from a Mac to your iOS device and viewing them. It is easy, fast and what I expected when I bought it. I dont like to rate reviews but it seems several people didnt know all iOS conduits require a sending (MacOS) and receiving (iOS) app. It was clear to me but I guess not to them? Anyway, Air Doc works fine as long as you install both the Mac and the iOS apps.
This app is absolutely amazing! It works just as described and provides a brilliant way to transfer files of all kinds to my iOS devices. As the description states, it requires absolutely no configuration. This is going to completely change the way I share files. I love it!
Great App!!
Very simple and easy to use. Tranfered a 80mb PDF file to my iphone in just a few minuts. Thanks!
Overpriced for what it can do. It can transfer a document from Pages on my Macbook to my iPad, but if I create a document on my iPad pages, it does not see it. I still have to put it out to iWorks and get it back later. The entire proces of seemlesslesly transferring back and forth via the cloud is still far from seamless to say the least. This app should be free at least till the bugs are worked out and frankly given what else is out there, anthing over $0.99 is way overpriced.
This is a FIVE STAR APP (suite) for what it does. Which is QUICKLY and PAINLESSLY transfer files to be read to a few iOS devices. You need this Mac App to SEND files (like PDFs) to the VIEWER App. Thats why this is free, and the iOS AirDoc Viewer App is currently $3.99 (universal, and does support the new iPad, yay!). I had NO TROUBLE figuring out that you need both, without visiting the website. It was REALLY SIMPLE: 1/ Download and run Mac App. 2/ Download and run iOS App. 3/ Oooooh, theres my iPad, ready to have a file dragged onto it... Drag. Done. Cmon folks. Cut the Indie Developer some slack. As to what I use it for? Dragging city magazine PDFs to a couple iPads (an old v1 as well as the new new v3).. the iOS app opened the 14MB pdf fine. Fiver stars, and with the iOS viewer app on sale its a no-brainer. Go get it!
Works Fine
First one I"ve found that just works. Dont forget the Air Doc Viewer to go on your mobile device.
Beware
Here is free, but to put in your Ipad or Iphone is 3.99.
It is not something Im going to use everyday, however I downloaded a movie on my phone pretty quickly and very simply. Pictures show up immediately and in high quality. Its pretty cool. This is free but you have to purchase the app for your devices. Its cheap enough to have fun with though.
I dont have an ipad but I do have an iphone
and I take a ton of photos. This is great for sharing at home.
Same as all other versions
Waist of $3.99 for iPad and iPhone.
It does the basic job of moving files from a Mac to iPhone or iPad, app to app. Does not require using an FTP or Web client like so many other tools in this genre. I use it to copy video files from a mac to an iPad, avoiding the hassle of syncing through iTunes just to move them over. Terribly ugly UI, but if you can look past that give it a try
Air Doc
When I click on the Icon all I get is “Air doc viewer not found”. Where do you go next?
Totally worthless Air Doc
WHat a scam . . . it did nothing after download Air Doc not found was he only response. How did this app get into the App Store.

Does not work. Waste of time.

Yes, you need this 'Sender' app as well as the 'Viewer' app... sheesh!

Nice app, will be even better with a little improvement
